What is the Completion link?

Updated: 07, Tue, 2023 03:38 PM

Positly’s Completion Link is a url which tells Positly that a participant has completed an activity. It must be placed at the end of all Positly activities. For information on how to configure Completion Links, see this page.

When participants reach the Completion Link for an activity, they are registered as complete in our system and taken to Positly’s feedback survey. They will automatically be approved for payment within 6 hours.

In some cases, participants may not reach Positly’s feedback survey. Occasionally, this is due to technical issues. More commonly, it’s due to an activity with a missing or inaccessible Completion Link.

If multiple participants report that they were not able to reach the Completion Link, or if Positly detects that participants are not reaching a Completion Link for a particular run, the run may be paused. In this case, we ask that researchers check their activity to verify their Completion Link is accessible to participants who complete their activity before resuming their run.

On Positly’s Microtaskers platform, participants who do not reach the Feedback Survey can still record that they completed the activity. They will be automatically rejected for payment, but requesters can manually approve them from the Participants tab of the run so they do get paid. We highly recommend that requesters look over their data for rejected participants and manually approve those who have satisfactorily completed the activity.
