What is Previous participation targeting?

Positly keeps track of the unique Participants that are taking part in your studies so that you can target or exclude them in future studies or steps within the same study.

When you create a new Run in a new Project you can choose to add Previous participation as a targeting option during the creation process. This allows you to include or exclude participants at the Run or Project level.

When you create a new Run in an existing Project you must decide how you want to handle Previous participation for Participants that have already participated in your previous Runs within that Project.

You can choose to:

• Exclude all Participants who have started previous Runs within the Project
• Include only Participants who have completed any previous Run within the Project
• No restrictions
• Custom targeting (this allows you to include or exclude by specific Runs)
